  1. a KG teacher can make between 25,000 to 35,000 a year. in my state ( Florida ) she has health insurance and benefits. a preschool teacher, no mater how good she is. she cant make more than 25,000a year, no health insurance, no benefits. so judge for your self

  2. not where i come from..

pre school was like day care if you wish to call it. something just before school and kindy is the first year of school.. there is also pre-kindy which is a two term introduction to the schooling system before starting the actual syllabus.

  3. When I went to school, we went to only kindergarten.  A preschool teacher only needs an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education, where as a kindergarten teacher needs a four year degree in teaching.  With an Associated Degree in Early Childhood Education, you can only teach at a pre school.

  4. Not where I am from.  Preschool is prior to Kindergarden and is more of a daycare type thing.  Kindergarden is the first year of elementary school.

  5. Pretty much yes-although Kindergarten may follow a different curriculum and be trained in Steiner approach to learning.

Pre-school's usually have children of slightly different ages than a Kindergarten and so they may have different experiences and approaches to education and care.

  6. Well no, because preschool teachers teach younger children than kindergarten teachers do

  7. i always thought of them as the same thing

    and yes

    i believe they are :)

  8. Not in the US - preschool is the year before kindergarten - teaching kindergarten readiness and then when your child turns 5, they enter kindergarten which is the year between preschool and first grade.

  9. Ya. they are differn't! OK well preschool teachers aren't really teachers; they are technically babysitters. In kindergarten, the kids are beginning to learn how to read and write.  Kindergarten is kind of like preschool but more advance.  Kindergarten has more learning, and preschool is kind of getting you prepared for kindergarten. Little kids are hard to take care of. Thats why there is preschool. You learn a little in preschool, but not a whole lot. I hope this helps!!!

  10. Well, yes and no. Some places only have a kindy, in which case preschool and kindy teacher are the same. at the daycare i went to, there was kindy then preschool, so not for me. Most cases, preschool is more advanced than kindy.
