  1. are you asking because you're constipated or anorexic?

    if constipated, supplement with magnesium


  2. Five to six stewed prunes before bedtime is my "emergency" laxative.  I think the fiber in the actual fruit works better than just the juice.

  3. Prune juice, if you can stand to drink it, is an excellent laxative.  It has been used for years.  It works quickly and efficiently.  It does not have the side effects that chemical laxatives have, and normally does not cause cramping unless you drink too much.

  4. It has about the same effectiveness as commercial laxatives. But since it is a fruit, it is natural and it has other nutrients. Keep in mind, however, that prunes do have sugar so easy does it if you are diabetic or watching your weight.

  5. Yes, and very good, also tried dried fruit, and fresh fruit.
