Does public intoxication go on record?

This happened in California, last night I got way too drunk, the cops were outside as I was walking out of the bar, I was being uncooperative and rude and was taken to jail to sober up. I was in a sobering cell for 6 hours, they finally let me out, took my fingerprints and let me go (I did not get a ticket thank god). Will this go on my record? If so, is there any way to get it removed?
