  1. Of  Course  It  does....

  2. Yes, it established the Estado Libre Asociado a cover name for Colony of the Unite States. Created by former governor Luis Munos Marin and aprooved by the United States Congress in 1952. Hopefully we will become a state of the United States and end over 600 years of colonisation, first under Spain and now under the United States

  3. Ok, all the information the guys send you is right but miss one thing. The Constitution of PR is a translation of the US Constitution with some adaptation to the puertorrican people of that time (1952). Remember we are a commonwealth of the US, so this document need to accomplish that situation, that's why the US Congress accept that translation w the adaptions make by the local politics in that moment.

  4. Yes we have a Constitution written / enacted in 1952.

Our constitution was written by an assembly of delegates not only by Luis Muñoz Marin who was the first Governor of PR elected by the vote of the people.  Among other prominent members of that assembly were:

    * Luis A. Ferre - Governor of PR 1968-1972, senator, engineer, businessman, musician, arts collector, filantropist

    * Jose Trias Monge - Lawyer, jurist, President of PR Supreme Court for many decades,

    * Ernesto Ramos Antonini - Senator

The constitution is organized in a series of Articles, for more information check this website:

  5. Whatever is not covered by the U.S. constitution, is covered by the local 1952 constitution, written by the P.Rican legislature.
