We found one baby rabbit all by itself while mowing. We looked for the nest, but couldn't find one or any other babies.

  1. You don't say what brand you have, but for rabbits Esbilac Milk Replacer will work "for puppies, kittens, rabbits and other fur bearing animals".  I believe the can has a picture of a golden Lab puppy on it.

  2. pupppy formula is for puppies and rabbit formula is for rabbits.

  3. a few sites say to use goats milk or KMR

you can also call up a local vet. They are very willing to give you advice on how to care for an animal.

Oh and if you're deciding to just rehab it and let it go when it's older, there are ways to slowly get a wild rodent used to the wild again. when it's old enough, leave it outside over night, gradually make this amount of time longer. One you get it used to be outside in the cage, then you can start letting it out of the cage off and on. It may come back even when you've gotten it used to being outdoors, but eventually it will find it's place in the wild.

  4. Yes I bought puppy formula from a vet back in the 80's to nurse wild baby rabbits. Works fine. If you can get rabbit formula of course it would be better but if not and you can get puppy formula it works fine. It was the vet who sold it to me for baby rabbits, and I would think they would know.

  5. No, puppy formula is designed for canines.

Rabbits need roughage, and rabbit pellets are the best for that. A wild rabbit will eat alfalfa, some wet grasses, and needs plenty of fresh water.

  6. i dont know about puppy formula, but i know kitten formula works well for raccons, rabbits, etc. good luck! if the bunny already has his/her eyes open, s/he  has a much better chance of surviving. if it's a really young baby, like newborn with eyes closed, the chances of survival are pretty low, but that doesnt mean you should give up. i hope everything works out well!

  7. Yah that is exaculy what you should be feeding but be precausiouse if u decide to get rid of the baby back in the wild because it will get killed it wont no how to fend for itself Keep It!!!!1

  8. Nope. There's a reason they make separate formulas. Puppy formula is better for puppies. Rabbit formula is better for rabbits.

  9. noo!!! Buy rabbit formula! Puppy formula can hurt the baby bunny!

  10. Find  a vet that takes in wild bunnies or your local wildlife place or the rabbit will die.
