Does purchasing music from the iTunes store chew up bandwidth and download limit?

It's been quite a frustrating problem in my household lately, we keep going over our 5GB download limit and the internet slows down to dial-up speed. But does it use up the space when you download from the iTunes music store?

Yes it does, although if an average track is between 3-10 mb, it probably isn't this which is significantly eating your allowance, actually.
