Does putting limewire files in the "shared" folder mean they're being shared across the country?

i have a friend who is paranoid about getting in trouble ( fines etc.) with limewire.he now realizes that the music files he had downlowded were being put into a folder named "shared",does that mean he was sharing them with other people and now he is going to get caught?also the computer he was downloading with crashed and he now has a new computer.can the riaa still track him down??does he now have i diff ip adress with a new computer?

  1. Yes. The shared folder is being sharing across the country. YOu can remove the files on it if you really think that would be a serious problem of tracking him.


  2. dude tell him to chill its ok yes they can be seen but limewire is a p2p or peer to peer  so any can access his computer if they wanted to but most government groups like riaa only big boys who have a few thousand songs not a few hundred so its cool
