  1. It was an interesting question until I read the additional details.

  2. Queen Elizabeth is the leader of her own church - the Church of England. All English monarchs since Henry VIII have had this historical responsibility.

Depending on the occasion, the Queen will go to church where she likes. Yes, there is a private chapel at all the palaces she owns, and yes, she does attend services at large cathedrals and churches when the occasion requires it.

    Hope this helps.

  3. She attends at both.Windsor has a chapel,Sandringham has a chapel--many of her residences have chapels that the citizens who live in the area also can and do attend.Elizabeth II can also go to the private chapel at St.Jame's Palace. The Queen also goes to the larger St. Paul's Cathedral and

    Westminster Abbey.

  4. the queen has chaples in the grounds of her "homes" but also attends externally  one to mention is the church at Balmoral which is open ................but as she is head of the church of england  she of course atttends church where she is at the time

  5. The Queen is a deeply religious woman. She attends Sunday services wherever she is in the world.

On her Golden Jubilee tour of Canada, she surprised parishioners at the Anglican Church in the small resort town of Jasper by attending services there.

Typically the Queen attends church in Windsor, since she spends many of her weekends there. In Scotland, she attends the small church outside her Balmoral estate. There is a chapel for the Sandringham estate.

On those rare weekends she is in London, if it's not a state occasion, she will attend services at the Savoy Chapel. It is a beautiful, ancient little church between The Strand and The Thames.
