...... "We prevented the birth parents from retrieving their child."?

Interested article about CCAA involvement/denial with baby brokering for international adoption.

Do you think telling a child that adopting her from an orphanage because you paid good money/ and had faith in a system you "knew" nothing about will be sufficient enough when they read articles like this?

click on .... Labels: Baby Trafficking.......for more indepth "propaganda?"

Can you imagine what is going to revealed in 5-10 years. I feel so sorry for these victims(a-child/nparents).

  1. Why are the only victims here the "a-child" and "n-parents".  What about the a-parents?  You know, most a-parents aren't greedy SOB's out to kidnap a child to play with.  Most of them think that when they're adopting from China or Guatemala they're doing "the right thing".  They think they are saving these children from starvation, disease, or practical slavery in sweat shops.  It's not always possible to tell if an organization is corrupt until it has been "caught" a few times.  Kidnapping is absolutely terrible - but there are REAL orphans for adoption from those countries too, many more REAL orphans than kidnap victims.  That doesn't make the kidnappings right, but it's important to remember that the fates awaiting real orphans who aren't adopted is also terrible.  That is why there are so many adoptive parents looking to adopt foreign children.  They think, somewhat misguidedly in many cases, that the foreign orphans are in more danger than American ones, and therefor more needy.  I think it's not right for you to assume that the a-parents aren't also victims in this case.  They are trying to do good, they fall in love with a child, then suddenly they find out they were unwilling participants in a kidnapping, and that they must part from this child they've learned to love!  The child and natural parents are definitely victims, but so are the adoptive parents.  The only REAL criminals here are the actual kidnappers and any agencies that are buying kidnapped babies!

  2. From today's New York Times

  3. An adopted child has parents, just not the birth parents.

A blog isn't necessarily factual evidence, it's someone's opinion.  You should look for better sources of information, at least something that's published with an editor to review the information.

  4. Independant, do you have a blog?

I'm curious as to why you sound very... off-putting at times.
