This is a highly educated man with highly specialized skills with which he served US for almost all his productive life of close to 40 years.

Having been raised to believe he would be the final moral authority in his family affairs, after discovering that he was cheated out of his solemn and sacred rights and requirements of the 7 step Sacred Hindu Marriage Ceremony along with the associated oaths, after 17 years of soul searching, when the behavior of his wife and her family did not stop, he murdered his Indian wife as a matter of punishment, which he believed is his duty along with his responsibilities for life.

He felt he was morally fully justified of this act and to this day has hard time to say "I am sorry". From the point of view of free society and its laws including UN Human Rights, this a terrible act- unusual & cruel pusnishment.

"Equiprotection of laws" is also part of UN Human Rights Code, especially after his civil rights were restored after prison.
