Does "eye black" really keep glare out of the eyes?

  1. Yes. It works by pulling the sun's rays away from your eyes onto the black. Black absorbs the sun's rays the best, white the least. Rays bounce off white. If you don't believe me go outside on a sunny day in a plain black shirt then change to a white one. Also, if you get snow where you are this is why your eyes hurt so bad when there is snow on the ground on a sunny day, because all the rays bounce off the white snow. Rays also bounce off water making a water surface look like a mirror and blind you.

  4. It's a good question - some say they don't notice a difference, but with the thousands using it, I'd tend to believe it's effective.
