  1. More than anything it will rely on the connection you have and how good you are at using those connections to your advantage.


  2. It has more to do with sales, persuasion, commitment, strong self-esteem (can handle lots of rejection) and a will to succeed.

  3. "Making it" is purely a matter of sales. If you can't sell, you can't stay, as one brokerage boss told me when I applied. He was right. I didn't, and I didn't.
