  2. It depends on the rhyming meter and how close it has to be. Check out a re-written Jack and Jill. It seems to do okay there.

    jack and jill went up the hill

    to fetch a pail of water

    jack fell down

    and broke his crown

    and jill just fell forever.

    But it does not work as well

    in

    I love you more

    than air or water

    yes it's true

    I love you ever.

    A more effective rhyme would be

    yes it's true

    but does it matter?

  4. It depends what kind of rhyme.

    It sort of does, but it would be better for the first syllable to rhyme too.

  5. No.  Entire words should rhyme, or come reasonably close, when finding an exact rhyme is near to impossible (orange and purple are two examples).  Identical last syllables is not a rhyme.
