There are several questions an angel asks after death according to hadith'ites, like "what is your religion?" plus more, and you get hit in the face if you answer wrongly. It's a very scary thought. Does quran mention this? How do quran'ites view the 'punishment of the grave'?

  1. it is scary for those who did bad in this world

  2. 47: 28. But how will they fare when the angels will cause them to die, smiting their faces and their backs ?

47: 29. That is because they followed that which displeased ALLAH, and disliked the seeking of HIS pleasure. So HE rendered their works vain.

47: 30. Do those in whose hearts is a disease suppose that ALLAH will not bring to light their malice ?

Yes it is in the Quran al-Karim

Imam Zaynul Abedeen (as) has said:

" Allah has said - I do not hesitate in any order except the death of a believer. He/she dislikes death and I do not like displeasing him/her. Therefore, when the time of death comes, Allah sends two angels to the believer - one is called Muskhiya and the other Munsiyya. Muskhiya makes the person generous (encouraging him/her to leave everything behind) and Munsiyya makes him/her forget the world. The angel of death (Izraeel) then arrives to remove the soul."

The seven stages of punishment are

    i) In this world

    ii) When death comes

iii) The squeeze of the grave

    iv) Barzakh

    v) Day of Judgement

vi) The bridge of sirat (From mahshar to Janna over Jahannam)

    vii) Jahannam

"...And before them is barzakh (a barrier) till the day of Qiyama.  (23:100 Quran)

    The Prophet (s) has said:

"Whenever you see the season of Spring, remember resurrection."

In other words, the rebirth in Spring of the plants is an example of resurrection.

  3. I didn't find punishment in grave in Quran. There are two or more ahadith in which Prophet said pointing a grave, that person in this grave is being punished badly.  That he had the mother of the boy in grave called for. She said, yes he was very bad boy and I didn't forgive him. Prophet told her how severely your son is being punished in grave. So please forgive your son for whatever he did to you, so his

punishment in grave stops. She then forgave her son and the sounds of screaming Prophet was hearing were stopped.

  4. if u did bad in ur life then yes u will have to suffer in the grave as well

  5. FTL gave u some verses , and i'll add this verse too , and it shows that punishment of the grave is mentioned in QURAN too not only in Hadeeth

(النار يعرضون عليها غدوا وعشيا ). [غافر-46]،

“The Fire, they are exposed to it, morning and afternoon and on the Day when the Hour will be established (it will be said to the angels): "Cause Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) people to enter the severest torment). [ 40: 45-46]

  6. never, nothing clear that they can defend rationally, but after all they have no minds, and it's a waste of time to discuss any thing with them, they are blind def and dump

sorry shah but you are very miss lead on that, it's clear from qoran that that when people are resurrected they feel that they were sleeping for couple of days, so they must have felt nothing, for they were nothing, they were dead, man is body, i don't no what spirits are and i don't care, ibn roshd wrote well about this issue, motazilite the first group in islam who came directly from mohammed, and specially through mohammed ibn alhanafeyya the son of ali, they always denied the the grave torment, and mohamed's interfering in the judgment day for his friends, which contradicts meny clear things in qoran, but i have no time, i have to go to see my nieces, they are waiting for me

oh my god majeed, you are not talking about the human prophet mohamad but about the god mohamad who you worship because of the liar bokhari who will lead you to h**l

  7. In the horrible tribulations of the grave,  it is said that animals can hear the voices of those been punished in the grave! (Bukhari, Muslim)

It is stated that a dead was buried in Ashbela, people were resting in a corner of the grave yard.

An animal who was grazing there, stopped grazing and ran towards the grave, putting its ear over the grave.

What the animal heard made him rear up and run away! (Tazkara Qartabi)

Stated whoever recites Surah Mulk before going to bed at night is saved from the tribulations of the grave. (Tabrani, Baihiqi, Hakim)

  8. "And guard yourselves against a day in which ye will be brought back to Allah. Then every soul will be paid in full that which it hath earned, and they will not be wronged. (2:281)"

  9. the wrongdoers, will have nightmares about Jahannum, and no grave punishment as per Glorious Quran

  10. The shortest answer to your question is:

As per Quran, there is NO SUCH thing as questioning in the grave and punishment in the grave.

    ---x*x----

As per Quran, the people who commit gross sins, they are however in a constant state of misery till the Judgement day. In fact their misery starts from the world and will go on forever. It will only change its forms.

When they die, their death experience itself is horrifying. Then till the day of Judgment their soul experiences constant haunting by nightmares of h**l. So they are in a constant misery. They know their fate all along near their death and during their death and the moment they will rise.

    Its horrible.
