  1. yeah he is right,it wont really affect anything just a bit bout the quality of the bite could be more subtle maybe cos they don't like freshwater. The big n the small won't get affected but the medium size will be a bit slow with the bites,I usually fish this size its flesh is more tasty, too small lack flesh too big the flesh gets really hard to chew its too old.

  2. If you're fishing offshore, it shouldn't effect fishing very much. The bite may be a bit slower but you'll still catch. It's totally different if you're fishing inshore or from the shore line. Depending on how hard it rains and the duration, the fish tend to move away for deeper water. Fish that can tolerate fresh water run off might stick around and these include Jack Crevalle, Mangrove Snapper, Snook and Tarpon. In most cases though they follow the fish leaving because they follow the food. If it's been raining hard for 2 days, wait until the 3rd or 4th day to allow the tide to mix up the water a bit. If it's just a passing rain but a long one, wait until the next tide change. The bite will be slower but you'll still catch something.~good luck catchin'.

  3. On the other end of the country, I really haven't noticed rain itself affecting the bite as long as you're a little ways away from shore. Accompanying weather (a front coming through, winds cooling the water) can affect the bite, as well as making it hard to fish, but a little bit of rain without the storminess won't make a difference.
