This is Red Lobster you are talking about. I would be surprised if the person at the front door had access to a phone!

i doubt it .. does anybody these days?  probably depends on where you live.. some are different

Hi, I am actually a hostess at Red Lobster, we do have phones. :) We actually do not take reservations due to the fact that there were so many people that would make reservations on the weekends and we would be saving tables for groups of people  instead of seating the ones in out lobby and the reservations would rarely show up. So, in order to better serve everyone Red Lobster does not take reservations. If you have a large party, it always helps to call ahead of time to let them know that you are coming, but one person out of the party has to physically be there to put your name on the list. :o)
