Do builders use galvanised steel to stop this? Does the rate of corrosion reduce a lot once it is protected inside the airless environment of dry hardened concrete?

  1. The steel when come in contact with concrete paste gain a thin coating which resist it from corrosion in a particular environment. It is some how called passivation of steel. This passivated steel behaves much more resistant to the corrosion and it will remain uneffected for more than our expectations.
