I am not sure what you mean.  If you mean to ask if the wearing of prescription eye glasses take away your visual strength, the answer is no.  They are a prosthetic device to help you see better . you could have other problems if you don't wear them, like headaches, for example.  It is better to see clearly.  Do not wear glasses made for anyone else, even if you feel your sight is better.  This practice could weaken your eye sight. Regular over the counter sunglasses probably will do no harm.  If you wear them inside and during the night you might become sensitive to light.
