  1. No.

I can't have ANY influence since the Constitution of Portugal and all the european countries declares that is must be a clear separation between religion and state.

That's why it's forbidden in ANY european country to exist such a thing as an "official" religion. No religion can be above any other.

But of course the majority of the portuguese people are catholics.

  2. NO!  My grandpa is from Lisboa and things have changed immensely after the 2ND great war, Portugal is a EU member, very proactive form of Gov, besides Catholicism is on it's way down, they don't have as much power as before (medieval times)

  3. yes it is

  4. Pls, no!

And how says Yes, pls, people, think a bit and don't say stupid thing --'

Yeah, it's true that older people are big believers, but the younger not at all!

And how do u mean that? That if I say something against God they kill me? Pls!

To all people that say yes, we live in 2008, not before 1974, in the "Estado Novo"! Yeah, in these times it was so, but now, since 25th April 1974, with the Carnation Revolution ("Revolução dos Cravos"), that's over! We are like any other country!

  5. No.

Although portuguese are Catholic (almost 92%), people aren't fanatic.

quite the opposite: we are very tolerant towards other religions...

  6. some, yes. Religion make huge influences on people and the government knows that.
