  1. No

Your data is on hard drive not on battery.

  2. As has been stated, removing the battery will reset the BIOS to default. If you are going to do this then take a look at the settings in the BIOS first & write down anything you see but are unsure about, that way you can reset the BIOS easily after.

    HTH

  3. NO, it will only reset your current date and time and the information for devices that you have on your computer, but this will be restored on your first start. You won't loose any data from your disks.

  4. I believe that it just resets the motherboard settings such as boot up passwords,  the time,  and other preferences.

I would refer to your motherboard manual before removing it.

  5. Lol  the small CMOS battery only resets the Bios. So not to worry. Unless u set ur processor to overclock and sutff i recommend u to remove ur hardrive from the cables.

  6. I dont believe it does, just be safe and back up all important data anyway. It wont hurt to have everything backed up cause you never know what will happen.

  7. It will only delete your personal settings for date/time/month/year and other settings which can be easily reset

  8. No.

The battery holds the system information while the computer is off.  It does not affect the information stored in the hard drive.
