  1. It should be covered by your renters policy & will be subject to your deductible.  But be careful, when there is a theft from vehicle, cameras are one of the biggest fraud items out there.

One agency I worked for used to get several theft from autos every year, there was one camera shop that seemed to be the one that these people bought always their cameras from, my boss thought this was quite suspicious so he called up the shop.  He told them if he got another theft from auto claim & he got a receipt for a camera from them, he was reporting them to the State for insurance fraud.  We never ever got another receipt from that shop again....

Next time, don't leave any valuables in your car!!

  2. Was the break-in at home?  Check with your agent -- it might cover the loss.

  3. No, renters insurance covers loss of household property, not vehicles.

  4. Your camera and Ipod would be covered under your contents policy, but it would be subject to your deductible. So, if you have a $500 deductible, chances are you'll have to pay it out of pocket.

  5. I have met similiar kind of problem before, here is the resource that I feel helpful..http://car-insurance.easyideas4u.info/ch...
