  1. Riding a bike, as with any form of cardio, will help reduce body fat. You will definitely slim down, which will show the muscles you have in your midsection. If you find that you are slimming down but the cuts aren't showing, then start adding abdominal exercises to your routine to build muscle.

  2. no

  3. Yes and no grasshopper.

If by good abs you mean strong abdominal muscles then no.

If by good abs you mean a defined 6 pac then yes and no.

If you want a strong abdominal core you need to work you upper, lower, and oblique abdominals.

If you want strong abs that are well defined, you need to work your abs and lower your percentage of body fat through cardio exercise which biking is great for. You might have a 6 pac but no one can see it if it's covered up by fat. In addition, diet is extremely important. You need to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to "Trick" your body into staying in a high metabolic rate so that it does not store excess calories as fat. If you go to long without eating (4 to 5 hours), your body will save a good amount of calories at your next meal by turning it into fat becuase your metabolism lowers into a survival mode.

  4. no but it burns fat

once you have a flat tummy still do it and do crunches and sit ups !

  5. Not biking, but if you run around 30 minutes a day for a week or two, then start doing sit ups, you get abs so much easier and better looking because you lose a lot of body fat running.

  6. nah not really..barely..sorry

  7. I was actually trying to work on my abs on the bike last night.  I figured that if your riding in the park and there is the line divider between lanes that if you try to stay within the little lines i could feel my abs working.  When your on a bike your core has to work to keep you upright, if your trying to stay in a specific line you will have to avoid going side to side and your abs will have to catch you before doing so.

  8. no...... cardio does. and eating spinach
