Im wondering if riding my bike more will help me with exercise. I Have a honda, 2005 cbr600. For example, Controlling the handling takes up strength in my arms and chest. (i think) And when riding fast on the freeway, I put my weight on my stomach against the gas tank. Is it Possible? Will it help me workout any part of my body? either, chest, arms, back, or abs?

  1. Anything physical gives you exercise of some sort or other.  You would not be exercising every muscle but would certainly get a workout depending upon how long you ride for.

Why not combine a workout routine with riding your bike and you may find it helps with the riding as you will be fitter.

  2. your tensioning your body trying to hang on its like flexing your muscles but yeah it is a little workout you get used to rideing you will become more relaxed and it will go away though

  3. So you're looking for a reason to quit the gym huh??? I don't think riding the CBR is going to do much for your physique.

  4. I've been riding for years and it does give your arms a serious workout and makes them stronger but for your back it puts strain on it because of the position your sitting in especially if you ride for hours at a time. It does work out your other area but probably not a whole lot where you would see improvement though...happy riding and be safe.
