Does roller blading positively affect your skating?

I play hockey and have been roller blading a lot lately and was wondering if in fact it does affect your skating in a postive way

  1. I used to be able to rollerblade, then when i started figure skating, i could bot rollerblade to save my life XD so yes.


  2. it does because rollerblading developes and tones the same muscles you use for ice skating. i'm a figure skater and it's a little different but when the rinks are closed i always rollerskate to get my speed up. trust me it helps. practicing with a ball is different from a puck though so that might get a little used to.

  3. Oh yeah. Definetly. It kinda has the same motions and everything. /there are just a few minor differences.

  4. The rollerblade company was started when a hockey player saw a really old pair of inline skates and realized that the form would be a good way to practice in the off season.

    It will help your fitness, and skating power.  You can also do your hockey drills  on them.
