Does running a lot make your leg bigger?

im a girl and i like running and i wanna do cross country and i'm afraid when i'm done with that sport, i will have guys leg. will that happen? it's ok for legs to be big but for girls...will my leg get too big?

  1. No, ur legs usually just loose alot of fat and get a little more defined. Nothing bad will happen.


  2. nope! i'm a 15 year old girl and have been running cross country for a year.

    it makes you lose leg fat and your legs become more defined. especially the back side of your legs become very hard and muscular but not like a man.

    Just think of slim toned legs and that's what you get after 4 months.

    Running also increases the growth speed so you may get longer legs. =D

  3. the poster above me is pretty much correct, your legs will lose flabbiness, and gain some slight definition, instead of getting bigger they will simply get more solid, even ultra marathoners dont end up with 'guy legs,' so you probably won't either unless you are doing some really intense, like olympic training or college track 100m 200m 400m, training
