  1. Its good but if you are wanting to maintain maximum flexibility re: kicking then I'd suggest running no more than 3 miles at any one time and I'd personally only run twice a week as you need rest days also.

  2. BRUCE LEE called running "the king of excercise" followed by swimming pool lengths and bicycling as substitutes.Wear proper shoes and tensor spandex knee braces to protect against shock to the knees if you do your running on asphalt or pavement.

  3. There's not one martial artist that does not run.

I don't mean the practitioners who's just calling themselves martial artists.

  4. Running as an exercise can become a regular work out. Running long distances can help an MMA build endurance, and sprints (especially uphill) can help the fighter be more explosive.

Some fighters run at high altitutes to be able to not get so winded during a fight.

Some fighters will cut weight while running by wearing a insulated bag.

So yes its a good exercise for a MMA fighter

  5. Good.

  6. Well one of the most important things a MMA fighter can have is great conditioning. Running helps with conditioning so it would be a good excercise

  7. I think its not only important but you cant be a fighter and not run some people such as myself can run 5-8 miles easy but at faster paces probally 2 so its also important to push the pace which in turn will result in better conditiong simulating later rounds
