  2. While you shouldn't give up on your home or gym exercise routine, you can certainly supplement it with with running in place exercises  (and, on those extra-long workdays, it's much better than doing nothing.)

    * Do a football-like drill of running in place. Get those knees up. Jumping jacks and deep knee bends are good as well.

  3. No, it doesn't.  You're moving your legs up and down, but you're not burning nearly the amount of calories you would if you drove your body forward (running).  It's good for cardio, if you keep moving for more then 20 minutes, but it doesn't have the same benefits of running.
