Does saline solution work for cartilage/ear piercings?

I use it on my belly button, and it works pretty well.

Can I use it on my ears/cartilage too?

thats what i use and i don't have any problems with it.

Workers at Claires also told me to use it and maybe mix a little bit of water into it if redness occurs.

The person who did my navel pierce actually told me that saline can dry a piercing out too fast, meaning it could scar. The suggested cleaning solution was Bactine, twice a day, and it worked really well.

Of course, if you've already used saline for your belly button with no problems, I'd say go for it.
