Does salvation army come to your house for free to pick up things?

  1. you can call local and tell them you have an item to be picked up...but not things like clothes, more like gym equipment and such

  6. They don't in my community, but if you have some stuff to get rid of, you might look up the larger churches in your area, and call the church secretary. She will know who needs your stuff. Ask her if she knows a homeless shelter, battered women's shelter, Goodwill, AmVets, or so on. If she doesn't know, call another church and see what they know.

  7. No, I think you have to call them and pay a fee for them to come to your home. If you have small items it would just be easier to take them to your local Salvation Army yourself.

  8. They used to, not so much anymore. It'll be far easier to find the nearest location and drop it off yourself next time you're passing by.  Unless we're talking about a bed or couch or something, then you might want to call the local branch first.
