  1. Generally, staff are not paid to work weekends.  However, many teachers come to school to prepare, on their own time and without compensation.

  2. having worked as a teacher I can tell you that undoubtedly at some time during the weekend teachers come into school - for all sorts of reasons - to get things prepared for the following week, to mark work, to do research for classes, to make sure school records (for pupils and for the school) are up to date ...... they also work during most of the holidays - including Christmas!  Teachers are not as well off as people imagine, yes they get the holidays more than the average worker - but that just means they work on their own time!..... and no they don't get bonuses or overtime!.....

  4. It depends some teacher, teach Saturday tutoring at the school some have to come in to do work and put up bulletin boards and some teacher have to go to workshops.

  5. Oftentimes staff members will work on the weekends, but they are not paid to do so.

  6. They usually don't.

A teacher's job is a weekday job like many other jobs.

  7. i live next to my school and on weekends the principle, janitor, and some teachers do. but its up to them because it is not mandatory to do so

  8. I think they stay at home, unless they have to watch students who got Saturday Detention.

  9. I like going in Saturday mornings for a little while to make sure everything is all set for the next week. It's quiet and relaxing. There are not that many other teachers there, and I get a lot of things done. It's just a choice though. Nobody says I have to do it.
