I've debated going to a chiropractor...not sure I really need one. I don't have any chronic health problems or pains, but I keep hearing from people how great they feel when they are adjusted. Does it really work? Is there anything I should be aware of? I have bad posture that I'm trying to work on, would going to see one help?

  1. Almost everyone can benefit from chiropractic treatment. Make sure xrays are taken before getting your 1st adjustment. If you don't have any chronic problems, getting regular adjustments can help keep you healthy. How often you choose to benefit from treatment is always up to you.

  2. When I was in an automobile accident it helped me out alot.

  3. I definately believe in them!  But be sure you get a reputable one.

  4. My wife was involved in a car accident 10 years ago.  She had back problems and went to a chiro.  She was getting some relief from that but then went to a shiatsu specialist and the difference was dramatic.  She taught myself and my wife to do it and now we align the back ourselves.  You lie the person flat on their stomach and putting the heal of both hands either side of the spine (not on the spine) about 1 inch from the centre, gently press down towards the floor.  You do this from the lower back all the way up to the neck.  The first time you do this it may make the patient a little dizzy but that is just the release of tension and the blood starting to circulate around the head again.

We also use an Australian oil for arthritic and muscular pain relief.  I am a sports teacher and have found it very good.  The Chinese Olympic team are even using it in the run up to the Beijing games.  It's called Elmore Oil and is 100% natural.

  5. I was in a car smash: hit from the rear, both my feet on brake and clutch pedals.  My knees got jammed up.  I WISH I had gone to a chiro., would have straightened out the distorted joints.  Would have had much less pain, maybe almost none, and knees would have stayed healthier longer.

I go to a chiro. when I have pains in rib area, sore back, elbows or knees hurt from overuse or a new use.

I thought then chiro. was nonsense.  Now I know it isn't.

Visits to one should help a lot with correcting the bad posture

    Best wishes!

  6. its amazinggggg. during the process though its kind of awkward and a little painful/uncomfortable. but afterwards you feel so FRESH!

  7. If you continue to go, you may see some benefits.  Its the same as massage--you have to keep going to feel good.

  8. yes , it really works, I had to go for adjustments and accupressure after a car accident because i could not take pain meds, give it a few tries.
