  1. I think selfishness stems from too much focus on your feelings and needs and ignoring everything else around you. yes, selfishness sometimes comes from too much focusing.. on the self.

  2. If you always put the wants and needs of others before your own you become a martyr and everyone who knows you will walk all over you, which will make you a miserable person. On the other hand, if you're always putting yourself first, you get to the point where you don't care about the wants and needs of others, so you end up walking all over them to get what you want. It may get you what you want most of the time, but it'll get lonely because the people around you will eventually catch on and will stay away because they can't depend on you for anything except to be completely selfish.

  3. Selfishness comes from living the way no other person can live if you live the way you want. It is like giving each person a glass of lemonade and then drinking the rest of the pitcher the very next minute. You wet their appetite but satisfy yours and yours alone.

  4. comes 4m peole wanting 2 b in control.

  5. I believe it comes from not living as wish to live...

  6. I think when one asks others to live the way they wish them to live is a sign of selfishness.

The self absorption, the egotistical behaviors, etc., in my estimation, stems from low self-esteem.  Putting ones self first, with little regard to others, is an attempt to "stroke" the ego.

Me, my and mine is always top priority to a selfish person.

  7. i believe selfishness  comes either way, it is a product of doing whatever you want, at whatever time you see fit, without any regard to anything or anyone else's needs!  although, on the other hand selfishness can stem from self absorption, self preservation or greed!♥
