Does sensored timers for the evening hours activate during a total solar eclipse?

  1. It depends on how they are activated. If it is a matter of sensing a light, then yes they would probably activate for a few minutes, during totality. But if they were set on a timer, like many are, then they wouldn't activate. If there were light sensors, they wouldn't stay on for more than 10 minutes because a solar eclipse is so short. And there will still be a fair amount of light except for the totality part of a solar eclipse.
