no its just higher octane fuel for turbo, supercharged and high compression engines like luxury cars and high end sports cars

even my 3000gt takes premium cause of higher compression and the turbo version cause its turboed

it prevents your internals from building up carbon which eventually causes you to lose MPGs you wont notice a difference from tank to tank but in the long run it may seem worth it to you
