  1. Can't tell about the calories, but I started this season in mid December, skied 5 days a week, and lost 25 lbs, from 233 to 208. I eat well and stay hydrated, but it still is more than I took in.  At your size, eat well, don't worry about the calories.


  2. it depends. like that other person said if your going over mogels or down steeper slopes where you have to work your legs harder then you'll burn more. However, if you're just starting and are going down the learner slopes you won't burn as many.

  3. For general skiing, a 130lb person, would burn 413 calories per hour. It depends, also, on how much effort you put into it.

  7. It depends if you are just cruising along at a slow pace or if you are working hard.  If you are skiing moguls or powder and you become short of breath after your run and you feel your muscles burn that means you are burning a lot of calories.  You'll get out what you put into it.
