Does skiing work out your hips smaller or bigger?

  1. Good question.  Your bone structure will be about the same, your waist will get smaller if you ski hard all season long.  Your hips will firm up as will all of your muscles, they will probably get slimmer, but they will be more pronounced because of your smaller waist. Your leg muscles will develop, so take up swimming all summer long to keep them in shape.


  2. Skiing will work on your hips all the time & they will get them in great shape. You'll lose all the fat but you'll gain quite a bit of muscle & this will make them smaller. Remember, fat is larger than muscle & weighs more.

  4. I don't agree with it makes your legs smaller, just look at womens downhill teams. They have some muscular thighs. I put some links to a couple of World Cup competitors below so you can judge.

  6. legs will be shaplier.  more muscular - depending on the workout level.  skiing is great for the overall tone of the whole body.
