Does skipping a payment for your cell phone bill affect your credit?

  1. Depending on your cell phone company they may not report it right away. If you have the money pay that old balance off right away do not wait until your next invoice to arrive.


  2. Cell phone companies do not report to the cedit bureaus unless your account goes to collections so 1 missed payment as long as you make it up will not affect your credit at all.

  3. they could shut off your phone until you pay and you would still owe future months charges until your contract period ends

  4. Anytime you miss a payment for anything, it will show up in a credit report. I know from personal experience. If it is your only infraction, then it won't be so bad, but late payments, or skipping payments is never a good idea.

  5. If you miss one payment, but then you make up for it in the next payment you will be ok.  If you are constantly late they will report it to collections which it will hit your report then.
