Does smiling release endorphins?

i heard that somewhere. im pretty sure it's right but i need to make sure. and that smiling was good for the universe to? like smiling to a person makes them smile and then it's just like an endorphin filled universe or w.e? am i right? what does smiling help?

I've been doing this for years, and it helps me to get rid of headaches, and chest pains from when I used to be a heavy smoker, and other bad physical pains, as well as being good for me emotionaly.
