  1. Directly effect it? No.

The 100 meter is an anaerobic race where your lung capacity hardly matters. Your muscle twitch and such is what is important.

    Indirectly? Yes.

Your training will suffer because (I assume) you run stuff like 200-400 repeats several times. With your lungs suffering from smoking it will make it harder to train.

BTW, I don't have a solution for cigarettes but I hear if you want to smoke weed you can just put it in brownies instead of smoking it and your lungs will be fine.

  2. nice NadaNada!

even in muscle twitch races you need your lungs, without them you would move 20meters max

blah blah blah cancer, black lung, ect.

  3. Yes. Smoking will negatively influence the 100 meter. Not to mention other things such as

    *Lung Cancer

    *Any other sports you do

    *Your siblings/parents

So smoking is not a good idea. Just don't do it. There's nothing positive that can come from it and if you're a really serious athlete - and a good one - it can ruin your game.

  4. kinda but not complety if u run the mile it will a lot but if u smoke it will affect ur breathing and u can get more unhealthy so it can affect ur 100 meter
