Does smoking help curb your eating appetite and make you less fat? ?

I always eat on my breaks at work. I'm starting to get chubby. Maybe 1 cigarette will curb my nasty snacking habits.

  1. Why don't you just swap your snack for a bir of fruit. Then you can eat healthily, not gain weight and also thats one less cigarette a day.


  2. You may have heard this from a smoker because when someone tries to quit smoking, the smoking has to be replaced with something (usually food) to help get the cigarette off their mind. At the time of the persons usual smoking break, their used to having something and food is usually it. Which is why people gain weight when trying to quit. I suggest, don't start smoking because your body will get used to that time of day then it will find another time of day, then so on and then you will become a smoker.

  3. Well, it does help hunger. And it gives you something to do, although i dont recommend you pick up the habit.  

  4. Trust me mate you dont want to start smoking, its a nasty habit and can work out quite expensive. i just stopped from 20 a day for the last 7 years, in a few weeks I have already noticed that there is an extra £60 in my account that normal, over all i am saving just over £1000 a year!

    I would suggest you just change your snack for a bit fruit, it would be much better for you.

    I know its hard not to have the snack you love so much but swapping it for some fruit is much better than taking up smoking.

    You might start only having 1 or 2 but before you know it you will be 5,6, 10 a day and its costing you a fortune. Smoking makes you feel bad, takes a lot of your energy and smells.
