Does snapping yourself with a rubber band do anything bad?

i want to wear one around my wrist to punish myself when i say oh my god will it do anything besides hurt?

i dont see any harm,  but be careful and dont do it to much. maybe a swaer jar is more appropriate

Wearing a rubber band around your wrist is a common form of a reminder.     It should be perfectly fine as long as you stop thinking about the pain that comes as a punishment and remember that it is just a reminder of what you'd like to change about yourself.  Thinking of this as a punishment may lead to unhealthy behavior, and I'm sure you're not looking to pick up any new bad habits.
