  1. The Canadian dollar is a dollar, but is some times referred to as the loony .That's the nick name for are one dollar coin because it has a loon on it.

    There is many native tribes

  2. Hi Ginger,

Others gave you the answers already, so I will just try to confirm:

    Canadian money

$1 = dollar coin = nicknamed the "loonie" because it has a loon on the front

    Canadian History

Jacques Cartier came to Canada trying to find an easier passage to let French traders get to China. When he got to Canada's east coast, he sailed up the St. Laurence seaway until he could go no further because river rapids blocked his path. The place where he came ashore is now referred to as Lachine, Quebec (and "la Chine" is French for China)

    First Nations

As the explorers arrived in Canada, they found tribes of friendly (and not so friendly) aboriginals, which used to be known as eskimos and indians, but those are not the politically correct terms now. We call them First Nations people now. In USA, they say "Native Americans".

The Iriquois and the Algonquins were the two major native tribes that were found on the east coast at that time. Others have mentioned many tribes did exist (Mohawk, Erie, Cree, Huron, etc.) but they either became part of the Iriquois confederacy, or fell victims to it.

  3. Also Canadian. What's your question?

Edit 1: The Canadian dollar is called .... get ready ... the Canadian dollar. We just call it a dollar, same as they do in the US. The one dollar coin is called a "loonie" (because it has a loon on it), and the two dollar coin is the "toonie" (because it rhymes with loonie and is worth two dollars).

Edit 2: I don't know ... Iriquois and .... ermmm .... Metis? I really ought to know that. We learned it in elementary school, and that was 15 years ago for me. Strangely, it's never come up since.

  4. what kind of help do you need?

..the canadian dollar is called..a dollar..just like in the US

and as for the  two native tribes..im not sure (dont really remember my canadian history course..even tho it was last year) but i think its the iroqouis and i dont remember the other one

  5. do you mean what is the dollar called like the Loonie ? a dollar is a loonie and 2 dollar coin is a toonie..  but our money is still canadian dollars.. as for the other..  the Iroquois and the Algonquin's.

  6. the canadian dollar is called the dollar (no friggen sheit...)

the two main tribes that were in Canada before the Europeans came were the Iroquois and the Algonquin's.

  7. As for our money... it is dollars and cents.

As for the names of the First Nations 'tribes'... there are many, so it would depend on what region you are referring to.
