Question:

Does someone want to explain to me about homogeneous mixtures?

I thought i understood the definition, but I'm still kind of confused.. like, i can't picture it. can someone explain it in words that are not so scientific. like i can't really picture the meaning of a mixture having a uniform composition.

  1. A solution is a homogeneous mixture made when two or more substances are dissolved in another so that it looks the same throughout (ie. having a uniform composition, like you said).

    An example of a homogeneous mixture would be milk.  Milk is made up of water, fat, and milk solids.  If you pour a glass of milk, it has a uniform appearance.

    Well, at least it SHOULD.  If not, you need to find a new supermarket to purchase your milk...
