A street fight against an untrained person with no fight experience. And also against someone that never trained in a martial art but experienced in street fights. How much percent of chances of winning does the martial artist have in both cases?

  1. MA versus untrained and unexperienced:  MA will win.

MA versus streetfighter with experience:  It depends upon the fighters.  Some streetfighters are about as good as a 1st, 2nd or 3rd dan TMA practitioner.  Why?  People can have a natural talent for something, including fighting.   If the MA has a natural talent plus training, he or she will win.

Remember, things like size, age and strength are always a factor also.

  2. The biggest question is who is commited to the fight.Training gives you confidence, which allows you to commit to attacks.A streetfighter has experience and knows how it feels to get hit. Many practitioners of Martial Arts don't take blows to the face, therefore it is a question of combat experience, not training.

  3. That all depends on the way the martial artist practiced. If they practiced realistic sparring, then yes they have a good chance. If they did not actively spar or practice the techniques that would be most feasible in a fight then the answer would be not really.

  4. it depends on what he trains in.

    muay thai, bjj, wrestling, boxing

hes almost definitely going to win 100% of the time.  i could pick apart untrained people after just a few weeks of any of those; muay or boxing - just stick the jab and throw straights while working some head movement.  wrestling and bjj, just get the quick double and get a dominant position and pound their faces in.

anything else is probably going to be worthless and actually stands a very good chance of making you worse @ fighting by feeding you mythical BS.  stuff i put in this category is karate (except kyokushin), kung fu (except san shou), aikido, tae kwon do, etc.

  5. i nominate this for the worst question of the week.

to somwhat answer this mess it is impossible to say
