i don;t think so..I've been using limewire for 2yrs already and I haven't encountered infected viruses from downloading in limewire...

u can get virus from it just run a scan over it but hey u can get a virus anywhere now adays its quite lame

it's a long time I"m using it I'm totally satisfied and they weren't infected by viruses

Only WINDOWS is infected by virusses. As the other guy says, they are using the DRM to take over control of your system (If you install Windows, the agreement gives them freedom to access your computer, it effectively belongs to them and the software NEVER belongs to you).

Limewire is FREE (as in GNU) and runs on Java, very fast on linux - I run Limewire, Frostwire, and GTK-Gnutella - at the same time, doing the same searches, doing simultaneous downloads. and NOT ONE VIRUS infection.

Stop worrying,

Stop being silly, stop using Windows.

If you MUST use Windows, (as I do for games) then do it with dualboot - and disable networking in XP

plz whenever u'll start ur computer always start scanning for virus .  but ur anti virus software must be update with latest version. the most papular anti virus is norton . it will scan every item in ur computer .ok

Technically yes.

Only files on the WMA format can be infected because of their DRM.

MP3 files and M4A files don't have DRM, therefore cannot be tampered with. So just don't download WMA.
