Does sony vegas pro 8 work on a mac?

i am getting sony vegas pro 8 and iwas wondering if it will work on a mac? i have adobe after effects cs3 and it works great on my mac. they are really similiar but i still need to know so that i dont waste $500.

  1. Last time I checked, Sony Vegas needs to run on Windows. If your Mac is running a version of Windows (via BootCamp or Parallels or some other method, then it should work... as on any other Windows machine. But Sony Vegas does not run on MacOSX. A quick check of the Systems Requirements:

    should answer your question - if your Mac hardware meets this and it is running the right version of Windows, then you should be good to go. Nothing on the list indicates it will run under Mac OSX.
