It would depend on how long you left it out.  15 minutes its probably ok.  4 hours definitely not.  If it had time to reach room temperature or was left out longer than 30 minutes.  You might lose $4, but would you rather get food poisoning?  Better safe than sorry.

yes. been there and it tasted sour. i dont think that it would cause you any harm but it doesnt taste good...i left mine out overnight
