  1. I'm assuming you are talking about splicing speaker wire. Purists will claim splicing impacts sound, but unless the splicing is done very poorly and the wire corrodes you won't hear any difference. I've done it for years and never noticed a difference. You can solder, but it's easier and at least as effective to simply use wirenuts or crimping to ensure a close contact connection.


  2. Yes it can often reduce the power delivery to each speaker and if you are using it in a more than one speaker per output config. If you are just splicing wire to get a longer connections. you should solder the splice for optimum performance or buy loger wire.

  3. I would think that it depends on the guage like going form a 24 to a 12 and the length
