it could be others reasons for spotting like change in eating habits working out and stress..on top of that not  to scare you but i can be a sign of a std..hopefully that not what it is..just wait another week and test again..good luck

If all you do is spot and it's light pink or brownish in color (as opposed to red) then yeah, you could still be pregnant and what you're experiencing is implantation bleeding. HCG levels (the pregnancy hormone) don't start rising until implantation of the embryo into the lining of the uterus occurs, so a pregnancy test won't come out positive until about 2 days afterward. So relax and give it a couple of days- if it turns into a period then you'll know you're not pregnant, and if it doesn't then re-test. Oh and use First Response early results HPT, it detects the lowest amount of HCG in urine.
