i think the big question is actually, does your friend like starbucks?  b/c if she doesn't you should get her the gift card for somewhere else..  if you knew if she liked it you would not have to ask if their politics are upsetting to your friend..

why not get the gift card for barnes and noble and she can use it for the starbucks coffee bar or if she isn't into it she can get something from the bookstore.

If your friend is that pressed about which companies have owners that support pro choice then she wouldn't be able to shop at 50% of the stores in the US.
